Should I hand deliver my resume?
Generally speaking, it is now not considered a welcome gesture for a job seeker to drop off a resume at an employer for a professional-level role. The person receiving the email could check out the applications at their convenience, but still much more quickly than a resume sent by traditional mail.
Should you apply in person or online?
The simple rule is if you’re looking for a job where you’re dealing directly with a customer offering assistance — you should apply in person. If you’re looking for a job where everyone has a computer or at the least is expected to check e-mail — it is okay to stick to all online activity.
Should you dress up to get a job application?
When you are applying for a job in person, business casual attire is usually appropriate. It is always important to be neat, tidy, and well-groomed and to present a positive image to the employer. Don’t wear jeans or shorts, tank tops, crop tops, or anything especially low cut (shirt or pants) or too short (skirt).
