How hard is it to rebuild a SR20DET?

The SR20 is not easy to rebuild. The bottom end tolerances are very tight, a full order of magnitude greater than most cars. That’s why they are so solid. I saw one that was rebuilt by some idiot on a lot a few weeks back.
