Can you access Tebay Services not from motorway?
Short answer is no. There is a service road connecting the to but it is not for public use to drive on and it is about a mile walk between the two.

Cumbria’s award-winning Tebay Services, operated by Westmorland Ltd, is a family-owned motorway services, located on both the north and southbound sides of the M6 Motorway, just north of Junction 38.
Are there two Tebay Services?
A corresponding southbound services, Killington Lake Services, was constructed at the same time. Tebay East was opened in 1993, serving southbound traffic. Both are operated by an independent family-owned company, Westmorland Motorway Services, rather than a national chain.

How do I access Tebay services?
After crossing the motorway bridge take the first left signposted Tebay Services Hotel and M6 North. If you are travelling northbound on the M6 and wanting to get to our southbound services, leave the M6 at Tebay Services and follow signs to our Hotel, continue past the Hotel and turn right.
Do you have to book at Tebay services?
Our Caravan Park at Tebay Northbound is open from March to 13 November. Hard-standing pitches cost £22 per night including a £3 voucher for our Farmshop & Kitchen. We request that you book in advance to avoid disappointment. However, we do have a very small number of pitches available without pre-booking.
Can you stay overnight at Tebay?
Free for three hours. Overnight parking (caravans, motorhomes and HGVs) is available for £18 per night, including a £3 voucher for our Farmshop & Kitchen. Please pay for overnight parking at the Quick Kitchen in our main building. Free 24-hour toilets and showers are available inside our main building.

Are you accessible? Tebay Northbound is fully wheelchair accessible with a disabled toilet. Tebay Southbound is wheelchair accessible except for one section of the Kitchen dining area, which is on a lower level and accessed by steps.

Tebay Services are motorway service stations on the M6 motorway at Orton in the Eden district of Cumbria, England. The northbound opened in 1972 and the southbound in 1993.
When did Tebay railway station become a junction?
Notes: Tebay Station was opened by the Lancaster & Carlisle Railway on 17th December 1846, the station became a junction on 8th August 1861 with the opening of the cross Pennine route from Darlington across Stainmore. At the junction there was a vast area of exchange sidings for coke, coal and iron ore wagons using the cross country line.
