Is Atium a real metal?
As atium is a God Metal, it does not form naturally. The metal only came to exist when Preservation stole a chunk of Ruin’s power and created the Pits of Hathsin, where atium grows in crystals, to deny Ruin’s access of part of his power.
What is mistborn aluminum?
Aluminum is an internal enhancement metal that, when burned, clears out all the metals inside the allomancer, including itself. It was revealed during Vin’s imprisonment in Kredik Shaw by the Inquisitors questioning her.
Who betrayed kelsier?
Mare
Mare was Kelsier’s wife, and the person whom everyone assumed betrayed Kelsier. However, when Vin discovered that it is possible to pierce copperclouds, it was determined that Mare did not betray Kelsier on purpose, as the Lord Ruler simply was able to see her Tin burning through the coppercloud who was with them.

What happened to the Atium?
The vast majority of the atium mined in the Pits never left the complex but was instead smuggled into the Homeland, to be hidden under the platform in the center of the Trustwarren. This was done to deny Ruin access to a part of his power. The atium used to pay for service Contracts was also added to the Trust.
What happens if you burn duralumin and Atium?
Burning Duralumin with Atium has dubious value in combat, but it does appear to allow the user to see into higher dimensions for a short period of time. It is unknown if this also extends the amount of time the user can see into the future.
What was the 11th metal?
Malatium, also known as the Eleventh Metal, is a metal that allows a mistborn burning it to see a vision of possible other lives someone else could have led, and different paths they could have taken. It is similar to Gold, in that it is an external version of the same power. It is an alloy of Atium and gold.
Why does aluminum stop investiture?
Burning aluminum causes the body to instantly metabolize its metal reserves without any other effect. As such, an Aluminum Gnat gains no useable powers from their Allomancy, however, it can be used to negate effects of other Investiture such as Withering. Only Allomantically relevant metals can be burned away.

Why did the Lord Ruler Thank Mare?
The Lord Ruler then thanked Mare for betraying Kelsier to him, before the two were separated. She arrived in the Pits of Hathsin a few weeks after Kelsier. It was generally believed that Mare was the one who betrayed Kelsier, until Vin realized that the Lord Ruler and his Inquisitors were able to pierce copperclouds.
