Is panacur a good Wormer?
Panacur is generally considered a very safe medication and is one of the safest dewormers on the market.

Fenbendazole should be given with food to reduce gastrointestinal upset. Give this medication as directed by your veterinarian. Fenbendazole is often given once daily for 3 consecutive days and then again in another round 2-3 weeks later.

Only two chemicals, moxidectin (in Equest and Equest Pramox) and five day courses of fenbendazole (Panacur Equine Guard) are licenced for the treatment of these encysted stages of small redworm. Equest contains only moxidectin while Equest Pramox has the addition of praziquantel meaning it also treats tapeworm.
Is Panacur the same as ivermectin?

Do not use at 10 mg/kg in dairy cattle. Dose rate of 10 mg/kg is for beef cattle only. Dose rate of 10 mg/kg in dairy cattle could result in violative residues in milk. A withdrawal period has not been established for this product in pre-ruminating calves.

How many mg of Panacur should you give a cow?
Administer orally. In beef and dairy cattle, the recommended dose of 5 mg/kg is achieved when 2.3 mL of the drug are given for each 100 lb of body weight.
How often should I Worm my horse with Panacur?
